This blog is about the move of Dawn and Ed to Denver, Colorado.

After Dawn has been living in the Netherlands for 5 years, we thought it was time to pack our stuff and make a move to Denver, Colorado. We choose Denver after a three month stay in 2001, we were there because of a job Ed was doing for Lucent Technologies. In May 2006, we decided to start Ed's greencard procedure and see how it would go from there.

20 week ultrasound update

We had out 20 week ultrasound on Thursday November, 20th and everything is normal with the baby. We also found out what we are having, if you would like to know what we are having click here. The baby was doing great and holding still for all of the difficult ultrasound pictures, but when it came down to the fun stuff, the baby woke up and become rather active. It was fascinated with its fingers and toes and even reach down to play with its toes, it was soooo cute.

We are preparing for the holiday season. Thanksgiving is next week and we are cooking dinner with the neighbors as they also don't have any family here in Colorado either. December 5th - 8th we will be in Idaho to visit Dawn's family. We are doing a late Thanksgiving/early Christmas visit. Ed hung up all of the Christmas lights and light wreaths on the outside of the house this weekend. We shopped around for Christmas tree ornaments, but haven't settled on what want exactly.

Anyways.. Here are the ultrasound pictures!

Pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been waiting a while before we wanted to post this on the blog cause we were going to fly to Idaho to surprise Dawn's parents for their 30 year anniversary and at the same time tell them the big surprise.

We had a bib made that said: "My grandpa and grandma love me", which we handed over and all we had to do was wait for the scream!

Today was also a big day. We had our first visit with the OB/GYN. Lots of info and finally the ultrasound. The moment we were waiting for, visual confirmation, seeing the little heartbeat and movement!

Below is a picture of the baby at 9 1/2 weeks and 2.65cm (1.04 inches) big.

We'll keep you guys posted all the way!
